Passados dois anos de pandemia, as festas voltaram na região do Caparaó. Na quinta-feira passada iniciou e se estendeu até domingo uma das festas mais tradicionais da região, a "Festa do Milho", do distrito de Mundo Novo, em Dores do Rio Preto, com grandes atrações e shows artísticos.
Essa festa acontece há 16 anos e está sendo organizada pela Prefeitura de Dores do Rio Preto, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura, Esporte e Turismo e Secretaria de Agricultura em parceria com a ATUAR – Associação de Turismo e Artesanato do Distrito de Mundo Novo.
